Oakmoss oil is extracted from light green lichen that is found growing primarily on oak trees as well as sometimes on other species.

The scientific name for the source of oakmoss oil is Evernia prunastri.

Atranorine, Chloratronorine , Evernic acid, d-usnic acid and various sesquiterpenes.
